“What is Love?”… That was the response I received when I said those three little words. It is something I’ve been pondering.
Love is Everything.
Yes, it’s the word.
— The response; such as “Good”, a common salutation of strangers (when asked how one is).
— The feeling of positive Energies shared among like individuals.
— The alignment and chemistry between family, friends and lovers.
— The unexplained exchange; a captured glance, an unintended touch.
— The connection of courtesy and curiosity that takes place within.
WITHIN… that is where the existence of creativity lives. No matter how hard anyone tries to describe what an artist is trying to achieve, what they “meant”, it can only be shared as an offering. The one who receives can only relate, appreciate and understand through their own mind, eyes, and soul.
Art is a true Essence of Love. I have an appreciation and connection with poetry. Someone once said “Visual arts are free to be interpreted but with poetry one needs to know literally what the author is saying”. I disagree; I read poetry and feel the layers. Some light, some dark.
Funny, as a Project Manager, I am not the one creating the graphically designed marketing pieces. However, I am innovative in ways of communicating and problem solving. And when not working, I am the creator of my own works of art (though I do not paint or create music).
For me, it’s the process of “doing” that is therapeutic. Uncovering and discovering the layers. I restore furniture, knit, colour and am starting a quilt. When I bought some thread and patches of fabric, the cashier asked if I had a sewing project on the go. I confirmed yes, and that I was trying something new. She said “Just go online, there are lots of tutorials”. Right now I am not interested in doing it perfectly; not wanting it to be what others expect. It’s more about me being in tune with my expression of Love.
We are all talented and have gifts to give. It’s all about sharing and receiving Love. Even if we just keep the end product and outcome Within.
